Shipping Policy

Effective Date: April 2026

Heli-UP is committed to delivering UH60 helicopter components with the speed, accuracy, and care that AOG situations and operational demands require. This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping procedures, timelines, responsibilities, and options available to customers.

1. Shipping Origin

All shipments originate from Heli-UP's facilities located in Los Angeles County, California. Our Los Angeles location provides direct access to major domestic and international air freight networks, enabling rapid dispatch for time-sensitive AOG and operational requirements.

2. Shipping Options

Heli-UP offers tailored shipping options based on urgency, destination, and component size. Available options include:

  • Standard Ground Shipping: For non-urgent orders with flexible delivery timelines.

  • Expedited Air Freight: For AOG and time-critical orders requiring next-day or second-day delivery.

  • Same-Day Dispatch: Available for urgent AOG situations where inventory is confirmed and all documentation is in order.

  • International Freight: Available for approved international transactions, subject to ITAR, BIS, and applicable export compliance documentation.

  • Custom Crating and Palletizing: Larger components, engine assemblies, and Field Kits are crated and palletized for safe transport. Crating specifications are determined based on component type and destination.

Shipping method and carrier selection will be confirmed at time of order processing. Customers with specific carrier preferences should communicate those at time of inquiry.

3. Processing and Dispatch Timeline

Orders confirmed with full payment or approved deposit will be processed in the following timeframes:

  • Standard Orders: Processed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days of order confirmation.

  • AOG Orders: Prioritized for same-day or next-business-day dispatch, subject to inventory availability and documentation requirements.

  • Field Kits: Assembly and dispatch timelines vary based on kit configuration and will be confirmed at the time of order.

  • International Orders: Subject to export documentation review, which may extend processing time. Customers will be notified promptly of any delays.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on component weight, dimensions, destination, urgency, and carrier rates at time of shipment. Shipping charges will be communicated to the customer prior to dispatch. Heli-UP does not mark up freight charges. Customers with freight accounts may provide their own carrier account number for billing directly to their account.

5. Risk of Loss and Transfer of Title

Title to components and risk of loss or damage transfer to the customer at the point of delivery to the carrier at Heli-UP's Los Angeles County facility. Heli-UP strongly recommends that customers obtain adequate cargo insurance for all shipments, particularly for high-value components including engines, transmissions, and APUs.

6. Packaging Standards

Heli-UP packages all components to meet or exceed industry standards for helicopter part transport. Packaging standards include:

  • Protective foam lining and vibration dampening for sensitive avionics and hydraulic components.

  • Heavy-duty crating for oversized or heavy components including engine assemblies, blades, and transmissions.

  • Sealed moisture-barrier packaging for components susceptible to environmental conditions.

  • Clear part identification labeling, documentation, and traceability records included with each shipment.

7. Inspection Upon Receipt

Customers are responsible for inspecting all shipments promptly upon receipt. Any damage, shortage, or discrepancy must be reported to Heli-UP in writing within 5 business days of delivery. Failure to report within this window may limit Heli-UP's ability to file a carrier claim on your behalf.

Do not discard original packaging materials until the inspection is complete and the shipment is confirmed accurate and undamaged.

8. International Shipments

International orders are subject to ITAR and EAR export regulations. Heli-UP will not ship internationally without completed and approved export documentation. Customers are responsible for all import duties, customs fees, and local taxes associated with international deliveries. Delivery timelines for international shipments are estimates and subject to customs clearance.

9. Delayed or Undeliverable Shipments

While Heli-UP works diligently with our carrier partners to ensure timely delivery, occasional delays may occur due to weather, customs processing, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control. If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, we recommend that you check the tracking information provided in your shipment confirmation email for the most current status and any carrier-reported delays. If the tracking information indicates a problem or has not been updated for an extended period, please contact us with your order number and tracking details.

If a shipment is returned to Heli-UP due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or inability to complete delivery, the customer will be responsible for reshipping costs. Heli-UP will contact the customer to arrange reshipment.

10. Contact for Shipping Inquiries

For urgent AOG shipping requests, tracking inquiries, or shipping-related questions, please contact Heli-UP directly through our website or reach out to our Los Angeles County team. We prioritize urgent communications and will respond promptly.
